Seven years after Maniwaki girls disappeared, police update pictures

Shannon Alexander and Maisy Odjik disappeared Sept. 6, 2008. They were last seen at a home in Maniwaki. Maisy was 16 and Shannon 17 at the time.

The Sûreté, Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Ontario Provincial Police have been looking for them, but without success.

On Thursday, the SQ put out a new appeal, with the following descriptions as well as photos altered to show how they could look today, at about age 24.

Shannon Alexander is five feet, nine inches tall, and weighed 146 pounds when she disappeared. She has brown hair and eyes and speaks English, and has a scar on her left knee.

Maisy Odjik is five feet, 10 inches and weighed 120 pounds in 2008. She has black hair and brown eyes, speaks English, and has a piercing in her left nostril and two in her lower lip. She had no known tattoos when she was last seen.
