狂欢!加拿大将举办2026年世界杯!

世界杯要来加拿大了!

真的2026年,加拿大要举办世界杯了!

据悉,国际足联FIFA于莫斯科当地时间6月13日上午9点,在莫斯科世博中心召开的第68届代表大会上,加拿大、美国和墨西哥以134-65的票数击败了竞争对手摩洛哥,赢得了2026年世界杯的主办权。

这也是世界杯历史上首次出现由三个国家共同举办赛事的情况。

大会现场宣读结果时,北美三国代表团都表现得十分激动,美国足协主席Carlos Cordeiro(U.S. Soccer president Carlos Cordeiro)表示,

“足球是今天唯一的王者!”( “Football today is the only victor”)

根据北美三国的规划书,2026年将会把原32支球队扩展至48支;届时将会举行80场比赛,有60场在美国进行,加拿大和墨西哥则各举办10场比赛。

虽然美国还是占了大头,但是对于只进过一次世界杯(1986年墨西哥世界杯),从未获得过男子世界杯举办权的加拿大来说,这是一个历史性的时刻。

对于墨西哥来说是继1970年和1986年后,第三次获得世界杯主办权,也是创了举办世界杯次数最多的国家的历史记录。

这也将是美国继1994年后,第二次举办世界杯。

决定了举办国后,FIFA将会从23个竞选城市里挑选16个城市去承办2026年的世界杯赛事。现在已知的是,埃德蒙顿、多伦多和蒙特利尔是加拿大方面的主办城市。

今天一早蒙特利尔市长Both Valerie Plante 和多伦多市长 John Tory 都率先在推特上发布了加拿大取得主办资格的喜讯。并写着“We won! The 2026 World Cup is coming to Canada, the U.S. & Mexico!”

这个喜讯真的是让在加拿大的各位瞬间沸腾,毕竟在8年后就能不用买机票也能到世界杯现场看球赛了,不用再为网络不稳定,卡到不行的直播而弄得烦躁不堪了!对于球迷来说更是兴奋到不行,毕竟能在居住的国度与爱豆们站在同一天空下,呼吸同一种空气,是无以言说的奇妙心情(应该就跟追欧巴一个道理)。

去年在渥太华举办的女子世界杯也是非常的成功。
